Highlights

• Company Christmas party. Dropped my phone in the Uber on the way home but fortunately the next customer was honest and the driver was awesome so I was reunited with it within an hour or so.
• A Christmas meal with the chosen ones at a really nice Italian restaurant - Pagliacci Restaurant in Hyde.
• A few random pub Friday evenings
• Cooked a full Christmas meal at home. I know, it’s just cooking, but I’ve not made the effort for quite some time so it was nice to get back into the routine. I obviously over catered by at least 3 people and considering there was only 3 of us to start with, that’s more than some. Plenty for leftovers.
• Finally got around to replacing the lounge TV after the old one was slowly turning blue. I might take a crack at repairing the old one, assuming it’s just the backlight that’s faulty.
• Upgraded to an Xbox Series X. It’s been on my list for a while.

Watched

Yeah, I think this is a record setting month for stuff watched for us.

• Binge watched while wrapping presents and then just carried on through all 5 films
  • Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981)
  • Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984)
  • Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989)
  • Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (2008)
  • Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny (2023)
• Genius Belgian detective Hercule Poirot starting Kenneth Branagh. I think these are going to take a second watch through to catch the details as should be the case with any good detective movie
  • Murder on the Orient Express (2017)
  • Death on the Nile (2022)
  • A Haunting in Venice (2023)
• The Doctor Who Christmas Special
• Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald (2018) - I think this was our second time.
• Europa Report (2013)
• Tenet (2020) - erm, I think this is going to need at least another watch through the figure out what the heck is going on, our went on, our will go on. #IYKYK
• Leave the World Behind (2023)
• Bodies (2023) - holy crap, this is more confusing than Tenet.
• Started to binge on the Star Wars saga in preparation for playing the Lego Star Wars game

Played

• Still playing Assassin’s Creed Origins on the Xbox. I started playing this game when it first came out but never finished it.
• Test drove a few other games on the new Xbox.
